On Saturday April 30th, we provided Live Music & DJ/Emcee Services for a Wedding at a Very Unique Wedding Site in Wells, Maine. This was the Laudholm Farm at the Wells Nature Reserve. Located on a historic Estate, the Ceremony featured Live Piano performing “What A Wonderful World” for the Wedding Party and “At Last” for the Bride. Their Post-Ceremony Recessional was “All You Need is Love” by The Beatles.
The Bride & Groom, who are big fans of Jazz Music, had us provide a Full Jazz Quartet for the Cocktail Hour which took place under a tent. Our Group of Trumpet, Sax, Bass, & Piano performed everything from Sinatra to Michael Buble, & Other Famous Jazz Standards.
The Reception took place in a Rustic Barn which featured actual horse stalls, original iron casting, and an actual moving floor scale which formed part of the “moving” dance floor. The Groom is a Firefighter for the City of Portland, Maine. He and many of his friends wore their actual uniforms at the Reception! We were delighted to work alongside our longtime photographer friends, The Hinkleys, who got many great shots including the one above.
