On Saturday, February 25th, we provided Live Music & DJ/Emcee Services for an Ecstatic Crowd at Riverside Farm in Pittsfield, Vermont. The Bride & Groom had us provide Live Piano for the Ceremony which took place in the lower level of a converted Rustic Barn.  The Wedding Ceremony Piano Music featured "I Know You're Out There Somewhere" by The Moody Blues and "Moon River" by Henry Mancini...all performed by us on Solo Piano. The Cocktail Hour took place in the Barn's upper level where we had the joy of performing on a Grand Piano provided On Site.  Music selections included Jazz & Light Pop Music. The Dinner/Dancing Reception featured a Great Dance Crowd.  The Bride & Groom had us perform everything from a Hora ("Hava Nagila") to lots of 50's, 60's, & 80's Dance Music.  The First Dance featured the very athletic Bride & Groom, who are professional Cyclists, doing a Bang-Up Job on "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" (Dirty Dancing Soundtrack). Also notable was the wedding day weather, which was a snow blizzard from the beginning to the end!

On Saturday, February 11th we provided Live Ceremony & Cocktail Hour Music along with DJ/Emcee Services for a Wedding in Portland, Maine. The Ceremony was held at the First Parish Unitarian Church near City Hall in downtown Portland.  We provided Live Organ Music for the Wedding Ceremony Processionals "Trumpet Voluntary" & "Canon in D".  In the middle of the service, during the Lighting of the Unity Candle, the Bride & Groom had us play John Lennon's "Grow Old With Me" on the church's Beautiful Grand Piano.  We returned to the Organ at the end of the service for the "Wedding March". The Cocktail Hour & Dinner/Dancing Reception were held at The Portland Club. The Club has a number of Grand Pianos on the premises.  We provided Live Piano Music for the Cocktail Hour with a number of Jazz Tunes and Billy Joel/Elton John Music. The Reception featured some light dinner music.  The Bride & Groom are fans of Reggae and had us play some Sublime & Bob Marley tunes during this time along with classics from Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and Norah Jones. The Upbeat Dancing Music was more of the Classic Variety.  The crowd loved 60s, 70s, and 80's hits.

 Many Brides & Grooms think that Winter is an off-season for us...Maybe this is true for other DJ Companies who are in less demand, but not us!

On November 19th, 2011, we performed Live Piano Music & provided Classy DJ/Emcee Services for a Wedding at Whitney's Inn in Jackson, NH. This picturesque location is a Summer Vacation & Winter Ski Resort for many New Englanders.  It was a little bit quieter in the late fall. For the Cocktail Hour, we performed Jazz Piano and Billy Joel, Elton John, & John Legend Piano Hits. For the Reception, the Bride & Groom, who are avid fans of 80's Dance Pop music had us perform lots of hits from such artists as Michael Jackson, Madonna, & Depeche Mode. We were delighted to receive the bride's online review shortly after the wedding on WeddingWire: "I would give Aaron Topfer more than 5 stars if that were an option! Simply put, he is amazing and absolutely wonderful to work with. He has a professionalism and work ethic unlike any other DJ out there and his value for the quality of service he provides is unmatched! Aaron played live piano at our cocktail hours in addition to DJ/emcee-ing our reception and everything was beyond perfect! He respected our "do not play" lists while keeping the dance floor moving all night- Aaron has the ability to get everyone out of their seats and really made our reception- I would HIGHLY recommend Aaron to anyone looking for a quality DJ/musician without all the gimmicks- he's the best!"

 

On Saturday, October 15th, we performed for a delightful Wedding at the Brass Heart Inn in Chocorua, New Hampshire, located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The Bride & Groom were married among the fall foliage of an outdoor Ceremony at The Inn.  We performed Live Piano Music for the Ceremony including Mozart & Handel. The Cocktail Hour featured Live Jazz Music with a Piano & Bass Duo provided by us.  The crowd was especially musically-inclined and even danced during the Cocktail Hour. For the Reception, the place went wild for Oldies, Motown, 80's, and Top 40 Music.  The guests, who were from Connecticut and New Hampshire was "age-less"... everyone from all ages to seemed to enjoy all types of music - which is rare!

On Sunday, October 9th, we provided Ceremony+Cocktail Hour+Reception Music for a Canadian-American Wedding taking place amid the Fall Foliage of Northern Vermont.  The Ceremony+Reception took place at the Sugarbush Resort near Warren, Vermont. The Ceremony took place near the top of the mountain and featured a Solo Cellist we hired for the Bride & Groom.  This rather adventurous gentlemen agreed to ride the ski life up with his Cello and performed beautiful music in the clouds including a Solo Cello version of "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay. We provided Live Piano Music in the Timbers Restaurant on the Restaurant's beautiful Grand Piano.  Later On, we provided DJ/Emcee services for the mixed New York/Canadian crowd.

On Sunday, September 25th, we performed Live Piano Music + DJ/Emcee Services for a Beautiful Daytime Wedding at the Avon Old Farms Hotel in Avon, Connecticut {near Hartford}. The Bride & Groom, who booked us from Seattle, are avid fans of Coldplay.  They had us perform many Coldplay pieces on piano at the 12 noon Ceremony in the Hotel Atrium.  These selections included "Clocks" and "Viva La Vida".  The Ceremony itself was led by a Rabbi and featured the Traditional "Siman Tov" after the Groom broke the glass. The Brunch Reception featured Live Piano Music in the Outdoor Garden, and then Indoor DJ Music for the Hora & the Chair-Raising as well as lots of Eclectic Singer-Songwriters and Top 40 Music.

On Sunday, September 11th, we performed at the Barn at Gibbet Hill in Groton, Massachusetts. It was a beautiful day as we performed Live Piano Music for the Outdoor Ceremony and Cocktail Hour.  Music for the Ceremony included a Piano Rendition of "Carried Away" by George Strait which was also the couple's First Dance later in the evening. The couple met at Gordon College in Massachusetts and many of their friends were from their alma mater. The crowd, a combination of Connecticut family & friends from the bride's side, and Canadians from the groom's side, danced to lots of Oldies, 80's, 90's, and Top 40 Music.  One of the more memorable points in the Reception was when everyone sang-along to "Piano Man" by Billy Joel. We were delighted by such nice compliments from everyone throughout and especially at the end.

On Sunday, September 4th, we provided Live Jazz Piano & DJ/Emcee Services for a Wedding at the Ocean View Inn in Gloucester, Massachusetts. The Bride & Groom were married at a church in Hamilton, Massachusetts and then traveled to the Ocean View for the Cocktail Hour & Reception. We provided Live Piano Music for the Cocktail Hour and the 1st Hour of Dinner featuring the Ocean View's beautiful Grand Piano. Later, we provided DJ/Emcee Services for the Dancing which lasted over 4 hours! The crowd from Long Island, NY and the Northshore of Boston loved everything from Oldies to lots of Top 40 Music and Michael Jackson.

On Saturday, August 20th, we performed at Military Wedding at The Margate Resort in Laconia, New Hampshire. The large Tented wedding featured our services providing Live Piano & Violin Music for the Ceremony & Cocktail Hour.  We performed "Canon in D" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" for the lakeside Ceremony. Later on, we provided DJ/Emcee services for an very enthusiastic crowd drawing largely from Boston's South Shore and the Bride & Groom's alma mater, Stonehill College.  We were delighted to receive this nice note from the bride a couple weeks later.
