Two Weddings at The Barn at Gibbet Hill in Groton, Massachusetts!
On Friday, July 22nd, and then again on Sunday, July 24th, we performed at one of our Favorite Sites in All of New England, The Barn at Gibbet Hill.
The Barn is one of our Most-Frequented Wedding Sites in New England. It's a unique setting which makes Everyone Feel like they are attending a Wedding in a Relaxed, Rural Location {although Groton is only 45 minutes Northwest of Boston.}
On July 22nd, we provided Live Piano Cocktail Hour Music on the Porch of the Barn...performing Modern Pop Music Hits from Billy Joel, Elton John, Norah Jones, & Van Morrison. Later On, we provided DJ Services for the Indoor Reception featuring a Great Mix of 80's, 90's, and Top 40 Hits.
On July 24th, we provided Live Piano Ceremony Music on the Lawn of the Barn {see above picture}. The Ceremony featured Traditional Music that the Bride & Groom had requested from Bach, Wagner, Mozart, and Pachelbel as well as the Accompaniment for "Morning Has Broken", a famous hymn that was sung during the Ceremony.
We continued with Live Piano Cocktail Hour Music performing Jazz Standards on the Porch.
Later on, we provided DJ Services with a Great Variety of Music requested by the Couple, from Light Guitar Singer-Songwriters {like Donovan} for the Dinner Period, to Contradance, Swing, and Rock & Roll for the After-Dinner Dancing.
Beautiful Wedding at the Breakwater Inn in Kennebunkport!
On Saturday, July 9th, we provided Music for a Beautiful Wedding on the Coast of Kennebunkport, Maine.
For the Ceremony, we provided a Piano & Violin Duo performing Pachebel's "Canon in D", IZ's "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", and the Beatles' "All You Need is Love".
For the Cocktail Hour & Dinner, we provided a Piano, Bass, & Saxophone Trio performing the Bride & Groom's favorite Crooner Classics.
After Dinner, it was dancing time. The Couple were particular fans of Old 50's and 60's Beach Music, a perfect compliment to the exquisite weather and Ocean backdrop of their Wedding Site, the Breakwater Inn.
Festive Wedding in Tupper Lake, New York!
On Sunday July 3rd, we provided Live Music & DJ/Emcee Services for a Wedding taking place at The Wild Center in Tupper Lake, New York. The Ceremony featured a Piano + Violin Duo performing Traditional Classical & Jewish Music. The Cocktail Hour took place under a Tent, and featured a Live Piano-Saxophone-Bass Jazz Trio.
The Reception occurred in the Museum itself a featured a Great Mix of eclectic Rock, Dance, Hip-Hop, and Pop Music and a Fantastic Dance Crowd from All Over the US!
A Wedding at the High Peaks Resort in Lake Placid, New York!
On Friday July 1st, we provided Live Piano Music and DJ/Emcee Services for a Wedding in picturesque Lake Placid, New York. The Ceremony & Reception took place on the waterfront of the High Peaks Resort.
Wonderful Wedding at the Castle in the Clouds!
On Saturday, June 4th, we performed at a Wonderful Wedding at the Breathtaking Castle in the Clouds in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.
The Bride & Groom hired us to perform Live Piano Music for the Their Ceremony at the Very Top of the Mountain on a Perfect 75-degree, Cloudless Day! Along with our Piano Music, they also had a professional bagpiper accompany the Bride down the aisle!
The Reception took place down below in the Winnispesaukee Room of the Castle grounds and featured Unbelievable Dancing for Hours & Hours! The Bride, a Most-Spirited & Vivacious Dancer and her friends could have danced all night!
Beautiful Weather for an Exquisite Wedding in Quechee, Vermont!
On Saturday, May 21st, we provided Live Piano Music & DJ/Emcee Services for an exquisite wedding at the Quechee Vermont's Marshland Farms.
Situated on several acres of rolling grassland, this site provided a very secluded and rural setting for this Very Upbeat & Enthusiastic Crowd.
The Ceremony featured Live Piano Music and a last-minute ray of sunshine on an otherwise iffy-cloudy-rainy day up to that point.
For the Cocktail Hour, we performed Live Jazz Piano in the setting of the adjacent Country Inn. By this point the sun was in full bloom and the rest of the day was absolutely perfect weather.
The Reception took place in a well-appointed and well-decorated tent {see the photo-above by North Photography} and featured a Fantastic Dance Crowd who took in from everything from "Hey Jude" by the Beatles to "Dynamite" by Taio Cruz as they danced late into the evening.
Incredible Dance-Crowd at a Willowbend Wedding on Cape Cod!
On Sunday May 15th, we Provide Live Music & DJ/Emcee Services an Extravagant & Large Wedding at the Willowbend Country Club on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The Bride & Groom invited over 200 Guests and are Great Dancers & Music-Lovers!
For the Ceremony, they hired us to Provide a Live Piano & Violin Duo performing Traditional Ceremony Music such as the "Arioso" for the Bridesmaids, and "Canon in D" for the Bride. At the Cocktail Hour, we provide Live Jazz Piano Music for their Upbeat Crowd.
The Party afterwards was Extraordinary featuring at least 100 Friends/Co-Workers of the Bride & Grooms who Ate Up nearly everything we played. In honor of the Family Traditions of this Jewish-Hispanic Wedding, we also played the "Hora" and "Guantanamera" -- both of which were Huge Hits!
Wedding at the Unique & Beautiful Laudholm Farm in Wells, Maine
On Saturday April 30th, we provided Live Music & DJ/Emcee Services for a Wedding at a Very Unique Wedding Site in Wells, Maine. This was the Laudholm Farm at the Wells Nature Reserve. Located on a historic Estate, the Ceremony featured Live Piano performing "What A Wonderful World" for the Wedding Party and "At Last" for the Bride. Their Post-Ceremony Recessional was "All You Need is Love" by The Beatles.
The Bride & Groom, who are big fans of Jazz Music, had us provide a Full Jazz Quartet for the Cocktail Hour which took place under a tent. Our Group of Trumpet, Sax, Bass, & Piano performed everything from Sinatra to Michael Buble, & Other Famous Jazz Standards.
The Reception took place in a Rustic Barn which featured actual horse stalls, original iron casting, and an actual moving floor scale which formed part of the "moving" dance floor. The Groom is a Firefighter for the City of Portland, Maine. He and many of his friends wore their actual uniforms at the Reception! We were delighted to work alongside our longtime photographer friends, The Hinkleys, who got many great shots including the one above.

In mid-April, we began our 2011 Wedding Season! This year, we will perform at Wedding Ceremonies & Receptions from Lake Placid, New York to Hartford, Connecticut and from Burlington, Vermont to Whitefield, New Hampshire to Bar Harbor, Maine!
This year, we have expanded our Services to include Upper New York State & Connecticut!

Today We Heard from a Bride Whose DJ is "Missing in Action"!
Today we received the following email (with some details removed for privacy):
"Hi Aaron: My name is Jaime and I was working with a DJ who has disappeared of the face the earth! I read through your website and would like to work with you. Are you available on (Wedding Date in Summer, 2011) John and I are getting married at the (Wedding Location in Vermont) We will have anywhere from 150-200 guests. Please contact me at your earliest convenience! Thank you."
Unfortunately, this type of email from a panicky Bride is not rare. We get at least 5-10 of them every year from Couples whose DJ's are Unresponsive and who don't possess the Professionalism to Respond to Their Customers in a Timely Manner. Why do Brides hire DJ's like this? Most often because they have gone with the Lowest-End price in the area and ended-up hiring someone is who is Not a Full-Time, Serious Professional. Mid-Winter Wedding at a Whitney’s Inn Wedding in Jackson, New Hampshire!
On Saturday, February 26th, we performed Live Piano and Jazz Trio Music as well as DJ/Emcee Services for a Wedding in Beautiful Jackson, New Hampshire!
The Ceremony and Reception took place at Whitney's Inn at the base of the popular Black Mountain Ski Area. The Bride and Groom were such avid skiers, that they even were reportedly seen Skiing the Morning of Their Wedding!
The Ceremony took place inside the Inn and featured Solo Piano music performed by us. The Bride chose "Canon in D" by Pachelbel for her Processional and "Wedding March" by Mendelssohn for her Recessional.
The Cocktail Hour took place immediately following. We provide a Piano, Saxophone, and Acoustic Jazz Bass Trio performing Hip, Upbeat Jazz Music for the Boston-Area Crowd.
The Reception took place at the Inn in the very cozy Shovel Handle Pub - appropriately-named for the blizzard which took place that night. For the Reception, we provided DJ and low-key Emceeing.
The Bride and Groom picked many of their favorites from artists like Dispatch, Jack Johnson, and Norah Jones for the Dinner Music. Then, they had almost 4 Hours of Dancing until after Midnight for their Young and Young-At-Heart Dance Crowd.
We were Gratified and Delighted to Receive Many Compliments on our services throughout the night including from the Owner of the Whitney's Inn himself, and of course, the Bride and Groom.
Another Wonderful Wedding at Stratton Mountain in Snowy Vermont!
On Saturday January 29th, we provided Live Piano Music & DJ/Emcee Services for a Wedding at the Inn at Stratton Mountain.
Stratton Mountain was hopping busy in the middle of ski season and this was a Wonderful Site to host a mid-Winter Wedding.
The Bride, a Professional Photographer in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania market, was especially attracted to our ability to play Piano during the Cocktail Hour & Dinner and then DJ her Dancing.
We performed hits by Billy Joel, Elton John, Coldplay and other Light Rock artists on Piano during the Cocktail Hour. We kept things more on the low-key, jazzy side during Dinner.
Later on, the party was really rocking with Hits from 70's, 80's, 90's, Top 40. The Couple also requested a Hora and Polka at the last minute - which we were able to fulfill easily given our extensive experience performing at Ethnic weddings.
The Bride & Groom were especially Great Dancers and we were delighted to receive so many nice compliments from their Guests and from the Stratton Mountain Inn staff.

Another Exquisite Wedding at Church Landing in Meredith, New Hampshire!
To begin the New Year, on 1/1/11, we were honored to once again provide Live Music & DJ/Emcee Services at the Inn at Mill Falls in Meredith, NH.
This Site is One of Our Favorite Sites in All of New England. The Church Landing along with its sister site, The Chase House, are 2 places we've performed more than anywhere else in the Northeast! Their Staff, including Stacey Dumais and Hilary Thurston, are always the Perfect Blend of Professionalism, Friendliness, and Graciousness Everytime we work with them.
For This Wedding, we Provided Live Piano & Flute Music for the Ceremony in performance of Bach's "Prelude in C" and Charpentier's "Te Deum" among other Ceremony pieces.
Our talented Flutist, Daniel Bennett, switched to Saxophone for the Cocktail Hour as we Provide a Live Piano & Sax Jazz Combo for the Already-Vivacious Crowd!
The Bride & Groom, who were both Huge Fans of The Boss were introduced to "Out In The Street" from Springsteen's Live in Madison Square Garden Album. Their First Dance was "Marry Me" by Train - a surefire hit for the 2011 Wedding Season upcoming!
The Crowd was Very High Energy despite this being New Year's Day and Danced to Almost Anything We Threw at Them All Night!
The Last Dance was "Take Me Home Tonight" {Eddie Money} followed by an after-party at Guiseppe's Restaurant in Meredith.
