Tower Hill Gardens – Weddings on August 13th & 14th
On August 13th & 14th, we performed at 2 Weddings at the Tower Hill Botanical Garden in Boylston, MA. It was rare for us to perform at 2 weddings at the same site 2 days in a row!
Tower Hill is beautiful collection of outdoor gardens and indoor locations including the Orangerie, a greenhouse-like structure where both Wedding Receptions took place.
For the Wedding on August 13th, we performed Piano Music for the outdoor ceremony followed by the Cocktail Hour in the Great Hall's grand piano. For the Wedding on August 14th, we provided recorded music for the Ceremony in the "Secret Garden", followed again by the Cocktail Hour Live Piano Music.
Both Receptions had our DJ/Emcee services with great dancing both nights! The August 14th wedding was a great party crowd who sang along to nearly every song. Also worth noting was that the First Dance song "Not Fire, Not Ice" {Ben Harper} was performed by a friend of the Bride & Groom in a rare Live Performance of a First Dance. We were delighted to work with this talented performer and provided all professional sound system support for him!
We also had the pleasure, once again, of working with our Photographer Friends, Matt & Liz Hinkley of www.hinkleyphoto.com.
We must compliment Tower Hill on its exceptional Steinway Grand Piano that is found in the Great Hall. This was unexpectedly one of the finest Grand Pianos we've ever found at a Wedding Reception Site and apparently was a gift to the Gardens. It's definitely an added plus for any Couple wanting really excellent piano music during their Cocktail Hour.
Civil Union at Private Home on Lake Champlain!
On Saturday August 7th, we provided music for a Same-Sex Civil Union in Vermont.
The location was a Private Home {friend of the Couple} located in Saint Albans, Vermont with an Extraordinary Vista overlooking Lake Champlain.
The Ceremony, which included beautiful Piano Music, took place in a Wooded-location near the Home. It was probably the most remote setting we've ever performed at for a Ceremony.
The Cocktail Hour & Dinner/Dancing took place under a tent, under a fully starlit sky {one of the many benefits of having a wedding in such a sparsely-populated area}.
The Honored Coupled used a Joshua Radin song for their First Dance. The crowd danced for several hours, even as the temperatures cooled-off later in the night.
Lakeview Pavilion Wedding – One of Our Favorite Sites
On Friday, August 6th, we provided Cocktail Hour Piano Music & DJ/Emcee Dinner/Dancing Reception Music for a Wedding at the Lakeview Pavilion.
The Lakeview is in Foxboro, MA and, in our opinion, is one of the best-run Wedding Sites in New England. The staff there is always Very Attentive and Professional...doesn't get in our way and makes sure everything runs very smoothly.
The Acoustic Piano they provide is in-tune and sounds great.
And the Reception Room itself has Excellent Acoustics and Additional Ambient Lighting that makes the Reception itself always look impressive!
We were also delighted to work again with our friend, the Photographer Keith Berry. Keith is also so much fun to work with!
Mount Washington Wedding
On July 31st, we performed at an Outdoor Wedding at the World-Renown Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, NH.
The Ceremony was held in a little chapel 1/4 mile down the road. Everyone was quite glad I brought my portable Piano/Organ to the Ceremony as the church-provided instrument itself was sub-standard.
The couple literally had their Outdoor Cocktail Hour & Reception at the foot of Mount Washington. The weather was perfect {mid-70's, no humidity}.
It definitely cooled-off quite a bit at night which was a concern for dancing. But, it didn't effect this crowd at all led by the Parents of the Groom and of course, the Bride & Groom, who literally danced all night.
Saddleback Mountain Wedding in Rangeley, Maine!
We recently did a Wedding on Saddleback Mountain in Rangeley, Maine.
I thoroughly recommend the Wedding Site if you're a Nature person or a Ski-lover.
The views were incredible and at this particular wedding, the Parents of the Bride & Groom had Professionally-Done Fireworks at the end of the Evening to cap things off!
Great 2010 Wedding Season So Far!
We have had the chance to work with many Wonderful Couples this season.
Some of our Most Unusual Weddings have included an Indian-American Wedding at The Grafton Inn in Vermont, a Wedding held on a Horse Farm in Maine, a Vegan/Vegetarian Wedding at Colby College in Maine, and a Greek-American Wedding at the Red Lion Inn South of Boston!
We look forward to the Rest of the 2010 Wedding Season!
